A HOT summer’s day in present day Rome. Gianni is middle-aged, unemployed and short of money; most of the time he shops, cooks and reads to his elderly mother. On this particular day, he is cajoled into looking after three other elderly women and the fun begins…. The politest of comedies inspired by the director’s own experiences, it is warm, considerate and just about perfect in all respects. We are also hoping to programme a surprise short film, tbc.
